Eddy Current Testing (ET)

Eddy current testing (ET) is used to detect electrically conductive materials surface and subsurface defects. The main advantage of eddy current is high scanning speed, no need for an actual contact with tested object surface, possibility to test without removing paint. ET method is often used for automated inspection.

Disadvantage of the method - possible result inaccuracies caused by paramters influence to each other, depth of penetration is low in ferromagnetic materials, complicated inspection of complex geometrical configuration parts.

Klaipedos NK centras is committed to maintaining professional technical knowledge, high quality non-destructive testing services, customer satisfaction and integrity by delivering quality services conforming to industry standards.
